It is one of my favourite times of year at bump, not only because Spring is finally here which means Secret Bunny (move over Secret Santa!), copious amounts of chocolate and Easter treats, but because it is time to work on Medela’s Big Breastfeeding Cafe!

I have worked on Medela’s account ever since joining the bump team and granted, I am not a mum myself, but I feel like I’ve learnt a hell of a lot about breastfeeding! Not only from Medela itself but from the lovely bloggers and influencers we have worked with along the way too!

The Big Breastfeeding Café campaign started 3 years ago with a simple concept, to help mums support each other, raise awareness and celebrate all things breastfeeding. From a small but lovely start, in its first year 30 mums joined the fun to host their very own Breastfeeding Cafés. This figure doubled last year, attracting media attention across the UK! Not only did we achieve coverage in national consumer and regional publications, as well as lots of online mentions, we made it on to Radio and even…Channel 5 News!

So, as we start working (lots!) on the campaign, taking place in May, I am really looking forward to seeing what we can achieve this year! Emily x
