What we did this month : August
Four weeks really does fly when you’re as busy as team bump, and just like that August is already over! Virtual office life is always jam-packed, but with World Breastfeeding Week, lots of product launches, birthdays and Back to School pitching all happening in the same month, it’s safe to say we’ve been flat out.
August started with virtual birthday celebrations for our lovely Hetty, as well as World Breastfeeding Week, which saw an exciting week of virtual celebrations for Medela. We ran competitions, spoke to so many lovely mums on social, and revealed the fantastic winner of the Breastfeeding in Art competition (see below). It’s always fantastic to see so many women coming together to celebrate breastfeeding, and we were blown away by the amount of people sharing stories with Medela throughout the week.
As if that wasn’t enough, we’ve also been planning and preparing for Medela’s latest new and exciting launch… check out their social from today (1/9) for full details! Another client with interesting news in the pipeline is Bravado, with some super exciting designs and innovations coming towards the end of the year – what could they be?!
Polarn O. Pyret’s gorgeous AW20 Outerwear collection hit the shelves this month, and we adore the classic designs for keeping little ones cosy in the changing seasons. Kendamil also launched Kendamom – a unique and tasty pregnancy supplement that has been scientifically developed by experts to offer maximum nutritional support to mother and baby from before conception, through pregnancy, and beyond.
For tiny toes, Poco Nido’s collection of Mini Shoes are just perfect – we really enjoyed launching them this month with a press release and influencer gifting. Lisa has also been doing a mini project with Co-op Childcare who have 45 nurseries and preschools across the UK to support their open day on 12th September.
Nimble and Magnet Mouse have kept Megan busy, prepping for Nimble’s latest launches coming mid-September with influencer projects and Magnet Mouse’s social planning and more influencer outreach – we’re so lucky to work with such fantastic clients.
August means Back to School is just around the corner, and Hetty sent out our must-haves for little rucksacks, which resulted in some really fab coverage. Katie also took charge of our super spooky Halloween pitch – everything you need for the scary season!
It wasn’t all scary though, as we welcomed new client Rockabye Radio, a 24/7 radio station with music especially for little ones – who we all know don’t keep 9-5 hours! Lisa was also busy preparing a new proposal for the next launch phase of GetSetGo! which opens for booking in October…watch this space!
Our absolute highlight of August has to be seeing the Ickle Bubba Stomp V4 featured on the Gadget Show – such a special spot, and thrilled to see our fab client on such a mainstream show! One of the best bits of the job is being able to have lots of chats with the team (not always just gossip!) and working across all clients with the bump gang as a whole and individually… Lisa says she’s pretty lucky really!
