What we did this month : August

Welcome to our “What We Did This Month” for August – it was a hectic month as always, with meetings, birthdays, socials, and obviously lots of hard work too!

With Christmas fast approaching (eek!), we’ve been planning for the busy September-December period, and also pitching our lovely clients for coverage in gift guides. We’ve also had a be-witching run-up to Halloween as our clients have some super cute Halloween themed items. Planning for 2020 is also already underway would you believe!

The start of the month saw the judging for this year’s Progressive Preschool Awards which Lisa went along to and got to see lots of our clients being considered for the top spot. We will also be donning our gladrags for the ceremony in November.

Infantino launched their Elevate Adjustable Nursing Pillow which got some really lovely interest from press and tied in nicely with World Breastfeeding Week at the start of the month. The continued support of influencers through the #InfantinoFamily project was also lovely to see the products coming in handy for their parenting journey!

World Breastfeeding Week was also obviously a busy time for Medela, with competitions running every day over Facebook and Instagram which certainly kept us on our toes with hundreds of entries and we wrote blog posts dedicated to this global event.

The Licensing Awards are a glamourous upcoming feature in our calender, and we’ve been busy preparing by writing hundreds of tweets to shout about the

Another really exciting upcoming event in our calender is the Kind und Jugend show, and we spent August planning for this, with press appointments with journalists and client meetings with those exhibiting, we’re really looking forward to getting a first look at exciting new launches.

Exciting new product launches this month include:

  • The new shushing ewan the dream sheep
  • My First Totem Pole from SmartMax
  • Our lovely new client, Bizzi Growin, launched their Pod Bag
  • Bravado Designs’  new athuleisure bra, the Rhythm
  • Two new Familidoo Air colours

Lisa also had a lovely lunch with Made 4 Mums in the sunshine and had meetings with Medela, Ickle Bubba, Smart Games among many others throughout the month.

August wasn’t just all work and no play however, as Hetty celebrated her birthday with an office party featuring presents and the must-have Colin the Caterpillar cake!

We also ventured out for our social to Chloe’s first ever Wagamama’s visit as there is a branch newly opened near us. We queued for half an hour but it was so worth it, we had an absolute feast and introduced Chloe to the amazing pork buns! Next up was Crazy Golf which was HILARIOUS (there were many, many attempts at some holes, maybe we should just stick to PR!), and a McDonald’s stop for some dessert to finish the night!

We’re really looking forward to September, with some big events in our calendar, and even bigger plans for our clients, we’re going to be busy bees here at the Bump offices!

Team Bump x
